How we rank search results
Under Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 (P2B) we disclose what determines the order of products in search and category listings.
Default: relevance
With no choice of your own, results are ordered by relevance to your query. The only input is how well the search term matches the product name. A whole-word match counts three times as strongly as a partial match; partial matching exists so that a term buried inside a compound word is still found (for example “Honig” inside “Blütenhonig”).
Orderings you can choose
- Price, low to high / high to low — by the lowest gross price (incl. VAT) across all offers for that product.
- Newest — by the date the product went live.
- Best rated — by a weighted rating average. The number of reviews is taken into account so that a product with a single five-star review does not outrank one with hundreds of good reviews.
What does not affect the order
Filters (category, origin, brand, price, organic) narrow the results but do not reorder them. There is no paid placement. Neither sellers nor third parties can obtain a better position through payment or any other consideration, and a seller’s commission has no bearing on their position.
Where the sort value is equal, the order is stable and identical for every user.
